Winter
Ski at Park City, Deer Valley, or Sundance Resort – all within 20 minutes of your front door. Each offers a different type of experience depending on what you are looking for. Sundance has a smaller hometown feel to it that is great for beginners and intermediate but also has a whole back mountain waiting to be explored.
Sledding and Tubing
Everyone knows of the world famous tubing at Soldier Hollow. This is a fast paced fun activity for everyone. You get a ride up the hill and down. It’s just 10 minutes from the house.
For a more organic sledding activity we recommend going over to Wasatch Mountain State park and taking the sleds we provide in the garage or buying a few from Walmart. It’s free to do and your kids will tire themselves out running back up the hill to go again.
This part of the valley has snow when the other areas don’t. We have been when there is no snow on the ground in other areas and there is still snow up there! I recommend parking at the golf course club house and going right there although there are many other areas you can easily find which makes it an adventure. We see lots of wild turkeys there in the winter as well.
Snowmobiling
Daniels Summit or Wasatch Mountain State park both have rentals for a few hours, guided tours, or all day trips!
Ride the Polar Express on the Heber Train – Kids love the magic of a train ride through a winter wonderland. This is also a fun summer evening activity or look for the themed rides they do all year like the spooky train or Harry Potter theme at Halloween!
Midway Ice Castles
A magical evening or day exploring huge ice castles and slides. This annual event is usually only available from January to March. They usually offer sleigh rides and hot cocoa to complete the perfect night.

Homestead Crater
One of the unique activities in Midway Utah is the one-of-a-kind Homestead Crater. The Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property.
Over 10,000 years in the making, The Crater formed when melting snow on the Wasatch Mountains seeped deep within the earth. Two miles below the surface, the earth’s interior heated the water. As it percolated upward, it picked up minerals, which were then deposited on the surface — eventually forming the volcano-shaped limestone deposit called The Homestead Crater
The hole at the top of the dome lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water at a constant range of 90 – 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can snorkel, soak, try your hand at paddle board yoga inside the crater year round!

This place is great for families that want to get some energy out in a warm environment during the winter or on a rainy day. There is an indoor track to run on, sports fields with soccer balls, basketball courts, pickleball courts, tennis courts, etc! There is no child care here, but across the hallway in the same building is another gym that offers child care along with an indoor rock climbing wall! My family loves to come here to let my wife run around the track while I play indoor soccer with my other kids. It has amazing views of Mt Timpanogos right from the track.

Summer/Spring/Fall
Summers in Heber Valley are dreamy! The cool dry mountain air and breezes make it pleasant to be outside and enjoy all the beauty of the Utah mountains. There are many day time activities within a 30 minute drive that our family enjoys. You will make memories that last a lifetime during your summer stay!
Mountain Biking Trails
You can do daily rentals of mountain bikes to enjoy world class mountain biking in the Utah Mountains. If you want to go it alone I suggest you download the app All trails and search for mountain biking trails. WOW trail is a great one for intermediate riders. There are trails just down the road from the house with access to Coyote trail if you brought your own bike! You can rent bikes from Midway Adventure Co or from Unita Recreation They both have good information on their websites on where to go.

We stayed at this location in early March and the trip could not have been more perfect. 7 adults and 7 kids and this place was perfect for all of us! The owner was very accommodating and kind. The house was beautiful l, clean and lots of space. We played in the snow in the yard and even got to see deer in the backyard! The view of the snowy mountains was beautiful! We spent most of our time in park city, but it was a quick and easy drive from the house! Overall great place and enjoyed it very much!!!

Was a nice house and Tim was great to work with. Love having extra folding chairs and a folding table. The view was great and almost as if it were staged, the deer came through the backyard and the children loved watching them. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five stars was there were several repairs that are needed on the home. I made Tim aware of the problems and he was planning to fix them. Hope the couch upstairs gets replaced as it was not very comfortable.

Our crowd is on the OCD side. The home was very clean and stocked with a lot of extras that you don't usually see in an Airbnb property. Tim was very responsive. Check in and check out was super simple. The location is great and in a quiet neighborhood! The new added bonus is a beautiful hot tub. We own beach rentals in the Outer Banks so we appreciate the attention to detail that Tim gives his property. We would definitely rent here again!!! The driveway is steep, but you are in Heber City! There is plenty of parking.

This property was perfect! Great location, beautiful home. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We came to town for a family funeral and had a few families, some with children. The house fit us all easily and everyone had plenty of space. I highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time! The house was so clean and well stocked it felt like we were just visiting a family members home. The decorations make it feel warm and inviting. The beautiful bedding and clean fluffy white towels made it feel as if we were in a luxurious hotel. Thank you very much for helping make our Sisters weekend so special.

We all enjoyed some much needed family time in this cozy yet spacious home! What a view out that window!! This is a great location a little less than an hour from SLC, and about 30 min from Park City. Midway is a nearby town that’s very cute too. Thank you to our gracious hosts. Anything I reached out about was taken care of ASAP and every room was neatly prepared. There were 10 of us (including 2 little ones) and we weren’t on top of each other by any means!

This house of perfect for our family vacation. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and more. It’s location is perfect. Everything you want to see is only an hour away (fishing, amusement park, baseball games). The view of the 4th of July fireworks were AMAZING! Jo is very responsive and helpful.

This is a beautiful house. Lots of space. I didn’t realize that you have you navigate stairs to get the the main level, so that could be an issue for some people. Overall it was great, we had everything we needed.

This place was beautiful! The neighborhood was quiet and lovely. It was a great fit for our family vacation with 10 people (including 1 baby and 2 pre schoolers) So helpful to have a pak and play, and to have the shampoos and soap in the bathrooms. There were kleenex boxes in most rooms which is so helpful with little kids!! The view was great. The hottub was easy to use. I highly recommend this place. The town was just minutes away when we needed something. Very good location for hikes and parks and all kinds of activities. We've stayed in many Air bnbs and Vrbo, this one is top notch. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable too!

The home was wonderful and accommodating for a large group. Tucked into a quiet neighborhood with great views, but also minutes away from Main Street for easy access to grocery stores and restaurants. The home was clean and comfortable. The foosball table and hot tub were bonuses that we enjoyed in our little bit of downtime. The hosts were wonderful and even allowed us to check out an hour later. Overall a wonderful stay that I would strongly recommend.

We just spent another 5 nights at Jo's place. The home is spacious, comfortable and well equipped and was meticulously clean when we checked in. Very convenient location with a short drive to Park City and not far from the airport. The added hot tub since last time we were there was a nice addition. Jo was very quick to respond to a couple questions we had. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Heber.

I’m glad I chose this house for my family It was 16 of us and we all felt at home. The house is clean and have everything we needed. I loved that there was little shampoo and conditioner as well as ear swabs. The house felt like home it really did. There wasn’t snow at the time we went so that was the only downside but we will try again at a different time to be able to have the snow. I would highly recommend

We gathered for our annual guy’s ski / Super Bowl trip in Utah this year and our stay at this Heber City home did not disappoint. Accommodations were clean, stylish, comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed. Importantly, our hosts were friendly and very responsive when we had questions or sought recommendations. They also accommodated our request to stay later for a nominal fee as we didn’t fly out until late afternoon. Great spot to stay with a group if you are trying to avoid the higher Park City accommodations. Would say again. Highly recommend.

Great place! I think overall the property is kept up well for a rental property, even the hot tub. Plenty of room for a couple of families to stay and hangout. Would recommend!

Our stay at Jo's place was amazing! The house is spacious, homey and comfortable. The kitchen is so well stocked, the bathrooms too. There were even beach towels to use after getting out of the hot tub. Jo was always responsive to our communications and super helpful, patient and understanding. One thing to note: the driveway up to the house is VERY STEEP. If you have a low-riding hitch on your vehicle - park in the street!

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend stay at this home in Heber City. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well stocked it is. Excellent accommodations. Jo, the local host, is very nice and fast at responding to any questions or inquiries. Wonderful views from a big kitchen window and sitting on the front deck. Won't hesitate to stay again and highly recommend. If mobility is an issue for you, be aware that there are stairs as described in their listing.

Everything was amazing and it was very spacious and clean! The only negative thing about this house was that the parking situation wasn’t the best but there was a long driveway to place some vehicles and a 2 car garage. We just had a ton of vehicles by chance. Loved it and would definitely go back to this specific house due to the layout, size, easy instructions, and great hosts!
